At a round table meeting of leading tourism stakeholders in the Subic- Clark - Tarlac area ,held in conjunction with the Philippine Presidents opening of the SCTex for the Holy week celebration,Seahorse tours announced the expansion of its dive vacation programs. Charles Davis President of Seahorse Tours & Souvenirs ( http://www.seahorsetours.com ) revealed that "We have been working with different dive shops and travel operators in near by countries. The opening of the expressway between Clark , the location of the DMIA airport, and Subic bay brings travel time down to under 40 minutes. The DMIA is rapidly growing and is the airport of choice for budget and short haul international carriers. The new expressway will allow a diver from Singapore to leave home in the morning and arrive in time for a couple of afternoon dives. DMIA at Clark has flights from numerous locations including Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, mainland China, and domestic locations." the expressway also cuts the travel time from Manila, which means that now Subic Bay is as close to Manila as other dive locations making it attractive to divers flying into the Manila airport also. Often times divers have to make a choice between a good dive location or a good vacation location. Subic Bay provides both. Subic Bay- Olongapo and the Angeles city- Clark areas have both been showing strong tourism growth.
"We are working with our dive industry partners as well as our leisure travel partners to review our current programs and to adjust them to meet our growing market. " states Davis "We are looking forward to meeting with many of our partner agencies from the region at the Asia Dive Expo next month, when we release our new tour offerings."
In preparation for these event Seahorse Tours & Souvenirs has launched a new informational web site http://www.subicbaydive.com to highlight some of the wreck and reef diving in the area. Sehorse is also releasing the http://www.subictravelguide.com web site
