The latest Parker filtration products offer solutions for each stage of the natural gas production process, including treatment, pipeline transportation and distribution. Additionally, filters have been developed specifically for use in alternative fuel applications, such as landfill gas filtration, the conversion of animal and food processing waste into digester gas (or biogas), and the dispensing of compressed natural gas (CNG).
The range of filters is available in various sizes for natural gas flows of up to 228, 204Nm3/hr and features PED compliant housings constructed from carbon steel or stainless steel for even the most demanding applications. The filters can be specified with several types of media to meet individual requirements, including glass fibre for coalescing liquids, cellulose for particulate removal, and activated carbon materials for oil vapour and hydrocarbon removal. Filter element ratings are available from 100 micron down to 0.01 micron, making the elements suitable for a diverse range of applications.
The ZA-Series is designed for use with natural gas production processes and features pressure ratings of 16 to 100 barg. These extremely efficient filters offer 100% retention of 1 micron droplets and liquids, and have DN200 compliant flanges for reliable connections. For use with alternative fuel applications, Parker offers the ZJ-Series and the FFC-Series; the ZJ-Series comprises gas dispensing filters pressure rated to 350 bar that are available with line sizes from ½” to 2”, while the FFC-Series of on board alternative filters offer complete removal of solid particles, condensed water and oils, enabling them to protect fuel injectors and other precision components, extending service life considerably.
ATEX approved versions of the ZA-Series and ZJ-Series filters are also available for use in hazardous environments, and ECER110 – the standard governing CNG components - approval is available on request for the FFC-Series. Furthermore, all the filters can be specified with optional indicators, gauges and drains for maximum flexibility.
