Mar 20, 2008 – Microsoft is opening its Israel Innovation labs that will focus on applied research. The new Innovation labs will be located in the R&D center of Microsoft in Herzliya Pituah, where all the company's activities in central Israel will be consolidated. Microsoft is expected to invest tens of millions of dollars in Israel Innovation Labs. The planned projects of the software giant will include online services and technologies, such as search engines, smart navigation, and advertising, as well as entertainment software and services.
