Robert E. Person, one of D.C.’s most polished and gifted independent gospel artists, released his debut project, The Call in 2004 to rave reviews. Now on the heels of that success, Person delivers another stunning release, Next Level. A mixture of traditional gospel, contemporary gospel and smatterings of pop, jazz and urban music, the CD not only showcases a different musical side of Robert E. Person, but allows him to spread his wings as a songwriter.

The artist is certainly taking the project to the “next level” with a recently-signed distribution, marketing and promotions deal with Edmondson Communications. Headed by industry veteran Al Edmondson, known for breaking some of the biggest artists in mainstream and gospel music, Edmondson Communications is proud to represent Person. “I think Robert Person is a phenomenal artist,” says Edmondson, “and we are happy to have him on board.” With the signing, Robert’s music will be played at hundreds of gospel radio stations nationwide and his project will be promoted and distributed nationally. Person is thrilled with the new endeavor and the success that he’s already received with Next Level.
“The feedback that I’ve been getting on this new project is that it’s vocally more aggressive than the last project,” says Person. “I’m coming out of my shell, feeling a little more at home in the studio. I was a little intimidated and timid on the last project, but I really wanted to take this project to the next level.”
