website, Liveprayer.com, is challenging media giant Oprah Winfrey to a live
debate regarding her New Age beliefs versus the truth of the Bible, which is
what Keller and Evangelical Christians consider to be the inspired, inerrant
Word of God and representing Absolute Truth.
Keller, who on FOX News recently referred to Winfrey as "the most dangerous
woman in the world," has come against the talks how queen for selling the
public "spiritual crack," referring the New Age teachings she promotes on
her TV program, XM satellite channel, and special webcasts that he contends
is leading millions of souls to hell.
Keller has been warning the 2.4 million subscribers of his Daily Devotional
for years that Oprah is now trying to be the spiritual guru to this nation,
using her media empire to promote every New Age philosophy in the world,
like the very popular book and DVD last year, "The Secret."
Earlier this year, Oprah began teaching a year-long course on her XM
Satellite radio channel, "A Course in Miracles." This has been a very
popular New Age course sounds Christian but clearly is NOT. A Course in
Miracles is allegedly "new revelation" from "Jesus" to help humanity work
through these troubled times. This "Jesus"—who bears no doctrinal
resemblance to the Bible's Jesus Christ—began delivering his channeled
teachings in 1965 to a Columbia University Professor of Medical Psychology
by the name of Helen Schucman.
Her latest venture in New Age teachings is a 10 week seminar over the
Internet that began Monday, March 3rd when Oprah and best selling New Age
author Eckhart Tolle will be teaching his new book, "A New Earth, Awaking
Your Life's Purpose."
Keller contends that these perverted spiritual teachings lead people who are
looking for hope and answers in their life away from Biblical Truth and
faith in Jesus Christ., which according to the Bible, is the only way for a
person to be saved.
Says Keller, "If Oprah wants to make tens of millions of dollars leading
people to hell, than she needs to be held accountable. If she refuses to
debate me, that should speak volumes to her adoring public that sadly views
her as some sort of spiritual guru!"
