Nyack, NY - Website owner and professional gift-giver Jennifer Strober’s phone is ringing. A large Executive Meetings and Events Corporation has asked her to create 300 gift collections at an elegant affair overseas in May 2008, and she’s busy creating their vision. She’s figuring out what will go in the custom ‘gift buckets’ that will be hand-assembled, beautifully wrapped and able to withstand a plane ride and 80 degree heat and humidity. After researching options, she phoned the client to bounce some ideas off them. They are calling her back and giving her the go-ahead.

Jenn honed her ‘creative shopping’ skills while working as an advertising executive for 10 years in Manhattan for big name companies like Lifetime Television and The New York Times. She needed creative ways to get the attention of buyers and once personally delivered -by cab- a small vase of springtime daffodils to potential clients. Her thoughtfulness and extra effort yielded 8 sales out of 10 deliveries. She eventually moved outside the city and started a family, and decided gift-giving was what she enjoyed -- The New York Gift Company was born.
