Mar 18, 2008 – Melissa J. Forberg is currently a senior disaster consultant for the Humane Society of the United States. In this capacity, Melissa is responsible for responding to emergencies that involve animals, instructing classes on disaster preparedness and sheltering and developing strategies for emergency situations. Melissa is an expert in these areas, having extensive experience and training in animal welfare. She earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of South Florida and has provided aid to several disaster response efforts, including Hurricane Katrina.
Melissa Forberg uses her spare time to attend to her equestrian farm where she keeps her beautiful Arabian breed horses. She is being welcomed to the roster of business leaders and professionals of the 2008/2009 Princeton Premier Registry in recognition of her commitment to animal welfare and for the valuable service she provides to the nation during times of disaster.
