Nixon stated “With this location we are expecting a guest attendance of 100 plus attendees for the workshops and 800 plus Baltimore City residents for each of the three scheduled runway events.”
All the events from August 11th – 15th, 2008, will take place inside the historical War Memorial Building located in Downtown Baltimore. Events planned for Baltimore’s Fashion Week include the following: August 11th- Celebration Reception; August 12th-Workshops with Roy Cox Photography displaying the techniques in capturing that perfect photograph, and Tim Coburn Photography, will facilitate a hair, make-up, and modeling workshop; August 13th- Runway Event entitled, Public Display of Af-FASHION; August 14th- Runway Event entitled, Dare to Be Different | Thinking Outside The Box; and last but not least, August 15th- Gala & Runway Finale entitled, The Love for Haute Couture Runway Event.
“I’m so happy we finally have a location for Baltimore’s Fashion Week! I can’t wait to see the look on the attendees faces when they enter the War Memorial Building, as we say at Butterfly Productions, ‘Transformation is key’,” says Nixon.
