JasperSoft reports more than 2,500 new customers in its recently concluded fiscal year, bringing its total to more than 8,000 customers in 96 countries around the world. Subscriptions to the Professional Edition of the JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite grew 227 percent in the same period and included customers such as Cincom, Ingres, Glovia Services (a Fujitsu company), SunGard, and Vericept Corporation. Recognizing the emergence of JasperSoft as the standard in open source BI, Apress published two books in its Definitive Guides series, the Definitive Guide to JasperReports and the Definitive Guide to iReport, the first two independent technical publications to cover the open source business intelligence sector.

Community Growth and Leadership
JasperSoft today is also announcing it will make available its Community Vibrancy Index (CVI). The Index provides a definitive methodology for tracking the health of the JasperSoft community and serves as a dashboard for ensuring the company is being a responsible and active steward for the largest BI community in the world. After an initial period of testing, JasperSoft will make the CVI available under a Creative Commons license to accompany a new version of its community web site, Jasperforge.org, in the spring.
The CVI is a response to JasperSoft’s explosive community growth, which has seen a 300 percent increase in new registrations in the past year and has currently recorded more than 3,000,000 downloads.
