FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Mar 18, 2008 – The realities of allergies are you can never get rid of them completely, but you can always take steps reduce the biological loads in the environment you are work or live in.

Using the right strategies can ensure you are not constantly hit with high microbial spike, which trigger your in build sensory system

The air we breathe in and our health

Our environment may harbor virus, bacteria mold and other micro organisms. Inhalation of the fungal spores, fragment (parts) or metabolites (e.g. mycotoxins and volatile organic compound) from a wide variety of fungi may lead to or exacerbate immunologic (allergic) reactions, cause toxic effects or cause infections. The ability of the body to fight off infectious diseases may be weakened resulting in opportunistic infections.

Mycotoxins

Many molds are capable of producing compounds which are toxic to other organisms, including people. More than 200 mycotoxins have been identified from common mold. One of these, Aflatoxin B1 is one of the most potent carcinogens known. It has been positively linked to liver cancer and is a suspected cause of lung cancer. (Source: US-CDC)

Microbes- Tiny organisms with big effects

Allergic reactions are elicited when a substance such as mold triggers an immune response in susceptible individuals.

The most common symptoms of an allergic response to increased levels of mold range from runny noses, itchy-watery eyes, coughing, sneezing, and throat irritation to more severe symptoms caused by chronic conditions such as sinusitis and asthma

Cold & Flu, which are passed easily around the workplace, are common health hazards faced by staff and occupants

Why is ÆGIS important for your environment?

Micro organisms do not germinate in the air. It needs a receptive surface to grow.
Source control is the key to reducing allergenic symptom.

You can’t completely eliminate exposure to microbial allergen all the time, but the goal to reduce reservoirs or amplification surfaces to a level that does not induce sensitization.

The Aegis treated surface:

•   Reduces microbial pollutants activity to a level that it does not induce sensitization.
•   Microbial spike is reduces, as the environment surfaces no longer support microbial growth.

Now you can stop the spread of micro organisms such as bacteria, fungi, viruses in your premises and improve the indoor environments and air quality.

The ÆGIS Defense

ÆGIS Microbe Shield is a highly-effective proven broad spectrum microbicide molecule. ÆGIS is a non-volatilizing, non-migrating material which utilizes a unique surface modifying technology to impart safe and lasting antimicrobial activity to treated surfaces. It is specifically registered with the Environmental Protection Agency for treatment of indoor hard and soft surfaces (EPA No. 64881-3), making it safe to use on surfaces that can harbor pathogenic micro-organisms in indoor environment.

Aegis  Asia works with a Indoor air quality testing firm http://www.iaqsg.com , who specialise in identification of the types of micro organism residing in your environment. Their testing protocol help identify

1)   the most likely source(s) of where the most likely reservoir is
2)   The pathways or route of transmission
3)   If the species are pathogenic

Should you have issues affecting your environment and you may require microbial decontamination services, Aegis Asia has the experience and guarantees its work that the source(s) has been removed from your environment and preventive treatment such as application of non leaching anti microbial is applied to prevent future occurrence or growth.
