Novella Spoofs Prime-time And Hits The Big Screen

PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 14, 2008 – Angelblue Productions' publishing arm, Angelblue Books, has recently published the novella "Behind the Palisades" by author Lauren C. King. The novella was adapted from the feature film of the same name.

"Behind the Palisades" details the lives of several actors on a popular prime-time teen drama over the course of the series. "I think people who were fans of shows like 90210 and Melrose Place will get the context of the story as well as understand the humor behind it. Some of the humor is a bit risque so hopefully people won't be offended. We were fortunate enough to get a strong group of actors on the project and I look forward to seeing the film come to fruition," says author Lauren C. King.

Currently, the film is in pre-production and producers anticipate a summer start date. The film is slated for release in early 2009, while the book is currently available at bookstores nationwide. The film stars Lauren C. King, Haley Mancini, last seen in Prom Queen and Mad Men, as well as actor Kevin J. Ryan.
