Mar 14, 2008 – Top male full marathoner, James Koskei of Kenya, captured the title in 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 9 seconds, winning $10,000 as well as a $25,000 bonus for winning the Cooper Complete Gender Challenge. WFAA-TV broadcast a two-and-a-half hour live show, captivating thousands of viewers.
As a new addition to this year’s race, the pediatric orthopedic hospital (

These patient champions helped with fundraising through the ActiveGiving.com web site, raising more than $100,000 in donations and helping the community to learn about some of the children who directly benefit from the event.
