I didn’t go to a fancy design school or study abroad in France. I am a 20 plus year veteran skateboarder with a lust for the street. I was born in a small village in south Poland and on my quest to the land of opportunity I have lived on the side of a mountain, on a farm, in the city, on communist soil, next door to communist soil, suburbia hell, the ocean, deep in the woods, and in the hood. I’ve always had a dream and a vision and this is what keeps my clock ticking. I’ve had many fun and interesting experiences over the short time I have been on this planet, I try to incorporate these experiences into my designs. My life has been a lot like a book and each chapter has been a new adventure. At some point an idea was born and I ran with it. Dancing Knives focuses on unique and limited production run of pieces for your visual taste buds to feel and enjoy. Each piece has been carefully designed around the idea of three core design values, color, creativity, and an open mind. When I look back to when I was a child everything I trusted and enjoyed was always a bright color, cotton candy, a beach ball, my tricycle. My idea is simple, have fun with color. You are not too old to have a pink coffee table. Life is not a timeline and should not fall into a mold. If you want a bright orange centerpiece for your living room stop thinking about it and just go get one. You are only on this planet one time and one time only so do what makes you happy. Don’t worry about what your neighbors think and go paint your house sunburst yellow, if that’s what you want. I know I would… even if it was just to piss them off.
