New Premier Inn opens at Manchester airport

Local business people, dignitaries and children from St Anthony’s R.C Primary School in Manchester came together on 27th February to celebrate the official opening of the new £10million Manchester Airport Premier Inn.

Over 150 guests from within the local community were expected to attend the unveiling which began at 12 noon with a champagne reception. Guests were then invited to take an exclusive tour of the new Manchester hotel (http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInformation.do?hotelId... ) followed by a delicious buffet lunch. In the official opening ceremony the primary school children were invited to cut the ribbon marking the latest addition to the Premier Inn (http://www.premierinn.com/ ) portfolio.  

Nigel Webb, General Manager said before the event: “We are planning a really fun and varied day for the opening of the hotel and hope that members of the local community come down and show their full support. We are positive that the hotel will prove a success in the local area – especially as we are located at such a prominent central site.  We are very excited about the opening and both myself and the team are looking forward to welcoming our first guests.”

The hotel has proved an immediate hit with its guests, becoming fully booked on the first Tuesday after its opening.  

The Premier Inn Manchester Airport Hotel (http://www.premierinn.com/pti/hotelInformation.do?hotelId=26815 ) boasts 195 rooms, a licensed bar and 122-seater restaurant furnished in cutting-edge, contemporary style.  It also benefits from four competitively-priced meeting rooms, two of which can accommodate up to 40 delegates.  A second phase of 165 bedrooms is due to start being built on 31st March.
