Alan Pepperdine Asks Higher or Lower Taxes?

“Tax Percentages should be Considered when Deciding How to Structure Investments”

PRLog - Mar. 12, 2008 - DALLAS -- Alan Pepperdine of Pepperdine Retirement Planning, Inc. has been in business since 1986, teaching individuals how to create an income that lasts a lifetime. A certified public accountant, Alan Pepperdine, teaches how to build wealth that will last an entire lifetime. Alan discusses the question of higher or lower taxes, and advises anyone considering an investment review the tax implications as it relates to the investment.

Alan Pepperdine explains the reasons for considering the taxes on investments. “All return on investments can only be measured by accounting for the tax, either the taxes must be accounted for prior to the investment or when receiving the return on investment, taxes are a critical measuring device on any investment,” says Alan. Understanding the tax laws and the current tax rates and future projected tax rates are essential when planning how to structure an investment. Alan Pepperdine explains that the current tax rates are historically low and should be considered when structuring a long term investment which might result in a person paying much higher taxes when it is time to receive their return on investments as the tax rates might have increased.

Alan Pepperdine suggests that anyone concerned with tax rates increasing over the years, which is most likely the case, consider investing in a non-regulated retirement plan, or Roth IRA. Both of these investments have certain restrictions such as they have to be in existence for at least five years and disbursed when the investor is at least fifty-nine and a half years old. However, when these restrictions are met the investment is free of Federal tax implications. Alan points out there are many different investment opportunities yielding different results.
