PRLog (Press Release) –
Mar 12, 2008 – The Dubai Gold & Jewelry Group (DGJG) plans to step up its efforts to improve jewelry retail and marketing services through training programs that will focus on sales, marketing and customer service.
The DGJG has paired up with the International Gemological Institute (IGI) to offer training programs in the area of diamond grading and certification of colored stones.
Tawid Abdullah, Managing Director of DGJG, stated: "With factors like rising gold prices impacting the market, it is important for the industry to look at alternative ways to drive demand. Our aim is to not only offer short-term solutions, but to build the foundations for a strong industry in the future."
The DGJG won a DSF award for Outstanding Customer Service as a direct result of these efforts. Jewelry outlets in Dubai were credited with providing significantly higher levels of customer service than other service industry sectors.
