Bark Busters, the world’s largest dog training company, has launched a new program to help U.S. veterans leverage the skills they’ve learned in the military into successful franchise businesses.
The Bark Busters Service for Service program awards a complete marketing launch, valued at $6,500, to U.S. veterans who become new Bark Busters franchise owners. Any honorably discharged veteran, regardless of military branch or dates served, is eligible to participate.
“Our new Service for Service program provides Bark Busters the opportunity to offer veterans a service in return for their service to our country,” said Liam Crowe, CEO and master dog behavioral therapist, Bark Busters USA. “The start-up phase of any business can be a challenge. We’ve designed a launch program that includes PR, advertising, direct mail, and business coaching – and for veterans, we’ll pay for all four components. In this way, we’re helping them achieve the flexibility and freedom that comes with business ownership.”
According to Crowe, many former military personnel have become prosperous Bark Buster franchise owners because their service training gives them the focused, applied discipline that helps them succeed as dog behavioral therapists.
“Bark Busters dog behavioral therapists teach dog owners to establish leadership with their dogs using the principles of pack law, which is similar to the military chain of command,” Crowe explained. “That’s why veterans have proven very successful in applying the Bark Busters methodology.”
