PRLog (Press Release) –
Mar 10, 2008 – Appel Farm Arts Camp staff is preparing for its 49th summer of bringing exceptional summer art instruction to young people, ages 9-17, from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and across the country. The acclaimed program at the camp offers two-four and eight-week sessions in visual and media arts, and more. Located in a serene country setting in southern New Jersey, the camp focuses on programs that explore and broaden artistic curiosity. The confidence campers experience through artistic activity brings greater achievement in other areas of life.
A thrilling media art program entices young people with cool state-of-the- art media and exploratory visual arts along with filmmaking, sound recording and writing. Students create imaginative projects that enhance their artistic skills while building great self-confidence in a relaxed, comfortable social setting. Visual children discover painting, drawing, illustration, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, glass art, fiber, mixed media, beading, and crafts.
Appel Farm’s summer arts camp programs attract students from all around the United States, but especially from New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. “Children who love music, dance, visual arts, theater, photography, writing, video, or the recording arts have a unique opportunity to meet others who share their passion,” states Mark Park, Executive Director and founding member of Appel Farms Arts and Music Center. “Many of these friendships will last a lifetime.”
Anyone registering before March 31 will receive a $300 discount from their session’s tuition. The two, four and eight week summer art camps are offered starting the weeks of June 22 and July 20 from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Everyone at Appel Farm sincerely believes that all young people have natural artistic curiosity and ability.
For more than 45 years, summers at Appel Farms have fed the imaginations of thousands of young people as they have developed talents and interacted creatively with artists from around the world. Founded in 1960, Appel Farms combines a dynamic program of arts classes with an active schedule of outdoor activities and community projects in a beautiful 176-acre setting in rural, southern New Jersey.
