Vermont Discovery Cruises announces a partnership, with wine expert Dellie Rex

PR Log (Press Release) – Mar 10, 2008 – Burlington, VT- Dellie Rex, co-author of the wine text book,  “About Wine” has partnered with Vermont Discovery Cruises to host a new series of wine cruises aboard Vermont Discovery Cruises’  yacht the Moonlight Lady, in 2008.  “We are so pleased to feature Ms. Rex as host of our wine cruises.” states cruise line owner, Michael Shea.                                                                                                    

In 2001, Boston Magazine cited Dellie Rex as one of the 50 Most Intriguing Women in New England, and described her as “the wine expert’s wine expert”.  Dellie Rex, Senior Wine Instructor at New England Culinary Institute, since 2005, has over 26 years’ experience in all phases of the wine business.  A Certified Wine Educator, Ms. Rex also ran a wine education service for many years in the Boston area.  "I believe strongly that wine appreciation is not an intellectual exercise just for 'experts'; it is a sensorial experience available to everyone".  states Ms. Rex.
Ms. Rex is a graduate of L’Academie du Vin in Paris, and holds an MBA degree from Babson College. She is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, La Commanderie de Bordeaux, and Les Dames d’Escoffier, and serves on the Board of the Liz Bishop Wine Resource Center in Boston.  She served as Adjunct Professor of Wine Appreciation at Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration for thirteen years.  In June 2006, Delmar Learning published “About Wine”, a textbook for college students of the culinary arts and hospitality administration, co-authored by Ms. Rex.
The partnership between Dellie Rex and Vermont Discovery Cruises will include a series of nine wine cruises to be hosted by Ms. Rex throughout their 2008 cruise schedule.
