Calendars supported by the calendrical software include not only well-known ones such as the Gregorian, Julian, Maya and Chinese Calendars ("Chinese Calendrics") but also less well-known ones such as the ISO 8601 Week Calendar ("Easy Date Converter"), plus several lunar calendars invented by Peter Meyer ("Lunar Calendars and Eclipse Finder"). There is an "Advanced Version" of "Easy Date Converter" which supports batch date conversions and is also an interpreter for a date-processing programming language (called EDC).
There are five items of security software available, three of which are cryptographic applications:
The mathematical software is mostly concerned with prime numbers ("Prime Number Spiral") and factorization ("Factorizer")
Peter Meyer has a Master's degree in computational physics, and related to this is his program "Five Cellular Automata", which includes CAs simulating physical processes such as spatio-temporal chemical oscillation and diffusion-limited aggregation.
There are programs for text analysis: "Hermetic Word Frequency Counter", which scans text and counts the frequency of occurrences of different words in multiple files, and "Index Files Search Words", for indexing all words in multiple files in multiple folders, and thereafter conducting searches of those files. There is an "Advanced Version" of "Hermetic Word Frequency Counter" which counts selected phrases in multiple files in multiple folders (this has proved useful in psycholinguistics research), and there is a "Lite" version of "Index Files Search Words" for searching a single file (this is Hermetic Systems' latest and twentieth program, published early 2008).
All software can be freely downloaded as trial or demo versions from the Hermetic Systems website at www.hermetic.ch (the 'ch' comes from "Confederation Helvetica", a.k.a. Switzerland)
