PRLog (Press Release) –
Mar 08, 2008 – Reynoldsburg, OH, Mar. 7, 2008 Canvas Stretching Machine, LLC successfully hooked two of their standard 60" Canvas Stretching Machines together to stretch an 8' X 2' canvas in less than 6 minutes. The original design of their 60" Canvas Stretching Machine allowed for future expansion and the eventual inter-connection of additional machines. In this configuration it would be possible to stretch over-sized art, in fact, there would be no size limitations.
The greatest challenge was to modify one machine to become the primary or master control so that it could control a second or even third machine. Each machine would have to be fitted with it's own "flow control device" to synchronize the air cylinders with those of the primary machine.
The advantages of inter-connecting standard sized machines is limitless, a customer that purchases a 60" machine today can purchase a second machine tomorrow and double their stretching capacity. With the advent of affordable large format giclee printers and the sudden demand for high-resolution prints to canvas, it is now possible to stretch what they print.
Although Canvas Stretching Machine,LLC can custom build a one-piece 8' machine, transporting a machine of this size is expensive and requires special crating. Transporting two or three machine is far less expensive to transport and they can be inter-connected in less than 15 minutes.
