PRLog (Press Release) –
Mar 07, 2008 – Glyphosate prices have skyrocketed the past couple of weeks, leaving many farmers wondering if they will even be able to afford to take care of thier weed problems in the field. Herbicidesdirect.com would like to share some thoughts and opinions on this matter.
With the recent increase in price on glyphosate, many farmers, landscapers, and home owners are looking for alternative products for thier weed killing needs. The truth of the matter is, there is no substitute out on the market at this point that can accomplish the job that glyphosate can. Every other type of herbicide out right now has some sort of side effect that prevents it from being applied in glyphosate prime situations. The great thing about glyphosate, is that it only kills the weeds and vegetation that it comes in contact with. It will not kill anything through the soil or leave harmful residue behind, and it will not kill Roundup ready crops, which a majority of farmers are using these days. What does all of this mean for the farming industry, and what does it mean for us? It means that we will all probably feel the price increase in glyphosate at the grocery store when the prices on produce are all jacked up. This will surely have an impact on smaller farms, who aren't as able to afford the new higher cost of glyphosate. I am sure you will continue to see a steady price increase in the coming months. # # # About Herbicidesdirect.com.
