Twenty-Four Business Organizations Join Corporate United Membership In 2007

David Clevenger, Corporate United vice president, says strategic initiatives to communicate and demonstrate the value of corporate collaboration have been well received in the marketplace.

“We experienced a 25 percent growth in membership in 2007, attracting a wide range of industry leaders who are already benefiting from the savings and efficiencies of group purchasing,” says Clevenger.  

Corporate United membership expanded in 2007 to include such leading organizations as CH2M HILL, Inc., Rohm and Haas, Sallie Mae, Snap-on Inc., Wachovia, and Whirlpool Corporation.

In addition to new members, personnel growth at Corporate United has been focused on the sourcing operations, where new Vice President Gary Como is spearheading the expansion of the portfolio of category offerings. Marketing and account management also grew in 2007, with the latter projecting an additional 24-40 percent growth in 2008.
Corporate United also continues to establish new supplier contracts, which include offerings in energy management, asset disposition, printer maintenance, IT staffing, and recruitment process outsourcing among others.
