POP Advisions Inc. has introduced its Brightboard Digital Display System to the vending industry. The company claims that several industries are already using Brightboard Digital Signs to advertise within their organization as an electronic greeter board, special events calendar, education awareness, book promotions, specials, etc. Some of these industries including restaurants, public libraries, colleges and universities, banks, funeral homes and more.
Brightboard bills itself as the first digital signage system to offer low cost, easy set-up and a simple update process in either a stand-alone or network accessible, solid-state package. Instead of a static printed message, the Brightboard uses a color LCD to display a continuous loop of high resolution images and/or full motion videos to inform, educate, entertain and influence the viewers. It is a solid state system that runs off of compact flash cards.
The company claims system plays JPEG files and MPEG videos and content creation is very easy. Content can be created on your existing PC with several existing software packages that the user may be familiar with, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Windows Paint, Adobe PhotoShop, Ulead Studio, Slideshow Creators and much more. Once the content is created, the user simply drags and drops the files to the compact flash card using the included USB reader/writer. Then simply insert the compact flash card into the system and turn it back on. Network accessible models are available.
