Greek American Author speaks at fundraiser

Patty Apostolides's latest novel "The Lion and the Nurse" was discussed in her talk and booksigning for the Daughters of Penelope of Washington, D.C. Part of the proceeds were donated to charity causes.
 
March 5, 2008 - PRLog -- Greek American author and poet Patty Apostolides gave a talk on her latest novel "The Lion and the Nurse" to a Daughters of Penelope charity event held February 9, 2008 at St. Sophia's Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

The talk was followed by a booksigning of "The Lion and the Nurse" as well as her other two books, "Lipsi's Daughter" and "Candlelit Journey: Poetry from the Heart." Proceeds from the book sale were given to the Daughters of Penelope for their charity causes.

"The Lion and the Nurse" is described by former congressman Michael Bilirakis as "...a proper follow-up to my Big Fat Greek Wedding." It is a romance that takes place on the Greek island of Kos, where Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, lived and taught.
