Mary A. Vassilakis Named Woman of the Year by Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce

PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 05, 2008 – Honoring years of leadership, the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce named Mary A. Vassilakis, founder of ReaLife WebDesigns, Woman of the Year. She will be honored at the annual Women in Business conference being held at the Manhattan Beach Marriott on April 18, 2008.

ReaLife WebDesigns (http://www.ReaLifeWebDesigns.com) has been active in the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce since 2001 and Mary has served on the Women in Business Committee since 2004. Vassilakis maintains the ManhattanBeachChamber.net (http://www.ManhattanBeachChamber.net) Web site and its MBWIB.com (http://www.MBWIB.com) Web site for the annual Women in Business conference. Both Web sites include eCommerce capabilities, and the WIB Web site has an extensive administrative system to facilitate committee members in organizing and managing meetings, registrations, sponsorships, advertising, contributions, and tabletop exhibits for the annual WIB conference.

Vassilakis started in Web development while teaching application classes at the University of Southern California. Intrigued by the Web and knowing her love for design and desire to express her creativity prompted her to embark on a career in Web development. Through ReaLife WebDesigns, Vassilakis works closely with her clientele, who sometimes refer to her as their “Web-mistress” or “SEO Goddess,” to develop custom solutions to their unique and sophisticated needs. This year’s Women in Business annual conference will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Marriott in Manhattan Beach. Speakers for the conference include Grace McArthur, VP, Leadership Development & Staffing of Mattel Toys who will speak on “Bringing ALL of Yourself to Work Each Day.” A “Green” panel of experts will tell “the real story about greening your life, home, and business.” Over 400 women are expected to attend this event, which is advertised as an opportunity to “Accelerate your business” and “Celebrate your soul.”
