Family caught on surveillance tape stealing young puppy in Murfreesboro TN

March 4, 2008 - PRLog -- Murfreesboro, TN – A two month Black and Tan Miniature Pincher puppy was stolen from the Petland store in Murfreesboro, TN.  The suspects are described by store employees as a Caucasian male, woman, and three children. The family was caught on the store's surveillance footage that was turned over to the police that afternoon. Video footage and still shots are available from HelpmefindMYPET.com upon request.

The family had asked to see the Miniature Pincher puppy, which a pet counselor handed to them in the puppy socialization room. The counselor watched the woman and children leave the store, but noticed the man was still playing with the Miniature Pincher puppy. When the pet counselor returned to check on the puppy she found that both the man and the puppy were gone. The Thieves obviously not thinking through the crime was not aware of the surveillance camera which showed the man placing the young puppy under his shirt and leaving the store. The theft was caught on camera to which the store sprung to action. Petland Murfreesboro, TN has all their puppies’ microchipped and protected with HelpmefindMYPET.com, an "Amber Alert" service for pets.  Petland immediately reported the missing puppy to HelpmefindMYPET.com and an alert was sent out to all of the pet community within a 50 mile radius of the Petland store. The alert that was sent out to the community includes a photo of the puppy, physical description, and the microchip information (which if scanned will be traced to the stolen puppy). If anyone has any information on the location of this stolen puppy they should contact HelpmefindMYPET.com immediately. Video footage will be made available upon request.  The puppy's safety is the store's primary concern.  Puppies require special care at this young age, if the puppy is not taken care of properly this puppy could die.
