Lifted Productions Announces The Come Up Concert Series Ft. Boot Camp Clik In Providence March 15th

PRLog (Press Release) – Mar 04, 2008 – PROVIDENCE, RI,  – Due to the limited amount of true hip hop events in the Providence metro area, LIFTed productions decided to try and fill that void by listening to RI’s hip hop artist community and consult with online pioneers such as basementflavor.com and produce events worthy of preserving the culture at its best. The current Hip-Pop that you hear on these TOP40 stations continues draining the life out of the true culture. Those who only seem to care about the bottom line and could care less about the lifestyle, are driving this loved hip hop culture to the edge of extinction. With the hope of community support and a great future line up of shows and other events, LIFTed Productions would like to move forward in trying to preserve this trend setting and heartbeat of urban lifestyle. The first of their events will headline some of the areas talent such as Chachi featured on BET’s 106 & Park, the return of Romen Rok, also metro heroes like Meal Tix, Poorly Drawn People, Starrs & Murph with special guest. They will be performing with hip hop trendsetters of the 90’s Duckdown Record’s own Boot Camp Clik featuring Buckshot, Sean Price and Smif N Wessun. Members of the Boot Camp Clik still tour the world and perform various hits from their arsenal music to true hip hop fans across the globe. These Brooklyn natives were the godfather’s to the back pack movement in the early 90’s with their signature Timberland boots and hooded sweatshirts, marking their place in hip hop history. Providence has the pleasure of hosting an event with these great artists at The Living Room Providence on Saturday, March 15, 2008, door open at 8PM. This is an all age show to try and educate this generation of hip hop fans on the history that gave them this culture that we love. Tickets are $20 at the door.
