Boza is a fermented drink made from bulgur that is usually consumed during winter months in Turkey. In history, boza enjoyed its golden age under the Ottomans. The carbohydrate and vitamin-rich drink was fed to soldiers for its warming and strengthening qualities.

One liter of boza contains a thousand calories, four types of vitamins A and B, and vitamin E.
