Drive Kids to be Fit, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating childhood obesity, has signed up with the T. Rowe Price Program For Charitable Giving as part of their efforts to provide donors with more ways to support the community organization. “The T. Rowe Price program is so unique and we want to provide our donors with as many ways as possible to contribute to Drive Kids to be Fit. Childhood obesity is considered by experts to be an epidemic and we have tools that can be implemented to fight this devastating disease. Providing several ways and opportunities to give will increase our ability to reach more children and save lives.”
Drive Kids to be Fit has developed a number of activities and events geared toward educating children and their parents about fitness and nutrition, including The School Challenge, a 15-week program wherein students compete to win gym equipment for their schools and mini health fairs that are free to the public.
Drive Kids to be Fit is a community partner in the National Institute of Health’s We Can! (Ways to Enhance Children’s Activity and Nutrition) Program, a nationwide initiative conceived to reduce childhood obesity. For more information, visit http//:www.drivekidstobefit.org.
