As a response to fast-emerging environment and health awareness, Zapmicro has increased their efforts in making all of their products free of lead, one of the most hazardous materials for both humans and nature. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is a directive that restricts the usage of hazardous materials in the manufacture and assembly of electronic devices, one of which is Zapmicro IP PBX PCI cards used for open source telephony projects and small to medium-sized office PBX systems. Zapmicro has implemented a lead-free assembly of all materials supplied by their vendors since mid 2007. Ever since the change in Zapmicro’s production line processes, all non-RoHS compliant cards were pulled back from distribution.
Currently, Zapmicro is offering free ground shipping in the US for all their analog and digital interface items. To know where to purchase, check out http://www.zapmicro.com/
