Chapel Hill, NC – Susan Marcinko, Executive Director of The Carying Place, an organization that provides services to homeless families with children to give them the opportunity to improve their housing situation, has announced that The Carying Place has been chosen for the first bi-monthly fundraiser dinner at Vines Bistro on Tuesday, March 11, from 5:00 p.m. until close. Dawn Cupero, Owner of Vines Bistro, established the bi-monthly community service night to donate a percentage of the evening’s income to a non-profit organization.
“The Carying Place is an organization that thrives on many levels,” said Cupero. “One, it brings awareness to the area that homelessness is a real problem in every community. I think people overlook this area when searching for worthy places to donate and support. Two, The Carying Place is all about empowering people, giving them the tools to live independent lives forever. The feeling of accomplishment and self-esteem that comes from this type of training is invaluable. The Carying Place brings people hope and pride as well as creates wonderful new role models for the children to look up to an learn from, so they too can live financially stable lives.”
The bi-monthly fundraiser dinners were created as a way for Cupero to give back to the community of her patrons. The Carying Place is honored to have been chosen as the first organization to benefit from the generosity of Cupero, Vines Bistro and the caring people in the community.
Vines Bistro is located at 1301 NW Maynard Road in Cary.
