You're aiming for a light, dewy result so apply a sheer foundation using a foundation brush for a smooth, even finish. Try Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, £26. Blend some concealer such as L'Oreal Touche Magique, £6.99, under the eye area to get rid of any telltale shadows or fine lines.
Enchanted Eyes…
Decide what eye colour you want to wear then pick two different shades, one dark and matte, the other paler and shimmery. Grey and silver is perfect but this will work with any contrasting combination and remember to choose something to fit with your outfit. Blend the darker colour into the socket - try deep grey BNeverTooBusyToBeBeautiful B Lo Eyeshadow - then sweep the paler colour over the whole lid. Chanel's Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Silvery, £16, is perfect.
Finish the look with an eyeliner of your choice but if you're heading to a dancefloor, liven it up by adding some sparkling eyeliner. Try Urban Decay's Heavy Metal in Glam Rock, £11.50. Apply a blusher of your choice to warm up your complexion before dabbing some liquid highlighter on your cheekbones and browbones. Miss Popularity by Benefit, £17.50, gives a lovely finish.
Luscious Lips…
Now it's time for lips. First of all, if you're heading for the mistletoe, keep your pout in tip top condition by regularly applying a good lip balm. Try Lush's deliciously festive Eggsnog, £3.95. Because your eyes are the focus of your look, use a subtle gloss to add a hint of colour. Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Gloss in Gold Berry, £14, is a fantastic festive shade. Most of all, have some fun with it and keep that lip gloss handy to reapply as needed throughout the evening. It will keep you looking fresh and fabulous!
