Why Push a Mouse when you can Just Point? Adesso Has the Answer…

Adesso’s Easy Cat 2 Button Glidepoint Touchpad makes it easier than ever to control your PC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 25, 2008 – Walnut, Calif. -- Adesso Inc., a leading manufacturer of computer input peripherals, has announced the release of the GP-160, the Easy Cat 2 Button Glidepoint Touchpad. Available from Adesso in both PS/2 and USB connectivity, the GP-160 is available for $49.99.

With its thin and comfortable design, the Adesso Easy Cat touchpad makes it easier than ever to control your computer. To perform basic mouse functions, simply glide your finger over the smooth surface of the Easy Cat to point, then tap on the pad or press on the buttons to click. Both “left” and “right” click functions can be activated by tapping on designated areas of the pad. It is easy to detect the “right” click area of the pad thanks to the subtle change of pad texture and color.

Double-tap and hold your finger on the pad, or hold the left button as your finger glides to grab, drag, and highlight any item on-screen. You’re also able to quickly activate vertical scrolling by gliding a finger along the touchpad edge. Edge-extending features make it easy to keep moving the cursor after you’ve run into the touchpad’s edge. Virtual buttons, sounds, speed, sensitivity and orientation settings can be customized vie Cirque’s driver.

Pushing a mouse is no longer necessary, when you can simply point and tap to perform all cursor movement functions. Plus, the Easy Cat’s solid-state design means no inconvenient breakdowns and no moving parts to clean.

Adesso products are available through Ingram Micro, Synnex and D&H direct vendors, including AMAZON, Buy.com, PC Mall, CDW, mWave, TigerDirect and Insight; retail stores such as Fry's and Micro Center; and leading catalogs, including CDW, PC Mall and PC Connection.
