Feb 22, 2008 – Orlando Florida, Today the US Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) Program awarded its Small Business of the Year award for 2007 to OCI.
The award was presented at a recognition dinner as a part of an FCS supplier diversity meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport hotel. Malcolm Spence, Director of Business Development accepted the award on behalf of the OCI software team developing the FCS infrastructure.
All the lead system integrators (SAIC and Boeing) as well as Tier 1 suppliers (Raytheon, BAE Systems, Lockheed, Northrop, GD, Textron and Honeywell) were asked to nominate their exceptional candidates from their supplier base.
FCS is the US Army's largest program and will provide its soldiers, the future warfighters, with the most sophisticated real-time communications to date. As a result they will have a strategic information advantage. OCI SW engineers have been supporting the program from its earliest days with real time middleware frameworks.
