Demand For Grains And Oilseeds In Asia Constricting World Supply?

Global food inventories are still estimated to be running at a 35-year low with food reserves in the form of wheat, rice, corn and other grains expected to last for less than 60 days of the global demand. Soybean, palm oil and other oilseeds supplies are also falling short leading to the constant fuel versus food debate. Various questions on ability to sufficiently produce as well as the impact on world trading pattern and prices are continuously being raised.
