DALLAS – At the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth, on Tuesday, February 19, Jim White, training director for Shermco Industries, presented ‘The 2009 Edition of NFPA 70E: What You Need to Know About Upcoming Changes and Enhancements’
Possibly the most active safety standard in the electrical industry, the NFPA 70E standard is far-reaching for those who own, operate, or interact with electrical power equipment. As a national consensus standard, it is updated and revised on a regular basis. The newest version, the 2009 Edition, is scheduled to be released in October 2008 and will include several enhancements and new requirements. During the lunchtime presentation, Jim White, a member of the 70E committee, highlighted some of the significant changes to the standard as well as provided a general overview of the 70E requirements.
