Community Involvement.
U2R1 Media has demonstrated its involvement within the community by participating in numerous pro bono projects. Most recently, the company has been developing the Bike for Betty campaign, a division of the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Bike for Betty is an event held to raise money for Breast Cancer Research and the Betty Wallace Women’s Health Center. This event is taking place on May 25th 2008, surrounding numerous rides and an outdoor festival involving the entire community. In the summer of 2007, U2R1 Media Inc. was the event planning sponsor for the Gforce Home Training Golf Tournament, raising over $5000 for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
U2R1 Media is also involved with the Alli’s Journey website, a non-profit organization which raises money for a network of support groups that provide critical care, counseling and assistance to young adults coping with cancer.
