Current WiFi technology based on IEEE 802.11g can not provide enough bandwidth for HDTV video streaming. The latest WiFi technology based on IEEE 802.11n, which operating on 5 Ghz frequency band, could support more than 100 Mbps high bandwidth. The Pisces®111 IP-STB utilizes its built-in 802.11n WiFi technology with three MIMO antennas to deliver fast and reliable streaming of High Definition video content through wireless in the home, which could revolutionize the TV viewing experience for the users.
In Europe, the broadcasting of DVB-T terrestrial signals is now widely deployed, and the free-to-air broadcasting of high-quality digital content via DVB-T is well established.
