FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 19, 2008 – Fremont, CA- SchmartBoard, the developer of a new technology that has significantly simplified the creation of electronic circuits for hobbyists, education and industry, today announced a new contest for students and educators.
SchmartBoards make it simple and flawless to hand solder surface mount components. For this reason, SchmartBoard has quickly become an important tool for many educational institutions and their students. Senior projects for EE students have shown to be a perfect application for SchmartBoards, as have many home school projects. The company will give away 10 notebook bags for the most original and practical uses of SchmartBoards in education. Entries may be submitted by educators or students.
“While we sell to education, industry and the hobbyist markets, education is the market that matters mostly to us,” said Neal Greenberg, VP of sales & marketing at SchmartBoard. “We are the only real choice for prototyping boards for projects that include SMT components due to how easy it is to hand solder our boards. A higher education student cannot get by without utilizing SMT in a circuit today. Once out of college, they will already have experience using SchmartBoards before they even start their first engineering job.”
The reasons for the contest are to learn more about how our educational customers are using our technology and to promote the fact that we have an education program that gives 20% off to students and educators. More information about the SchmartBowl contest and educational discounts can be found on our website.
