Safeguard simplifies the process of managing Oracle backups and includes wizards to safely and easily backup and restore an Oracle database. Safeguard includes comprehensive diagnostics to troubleshoot database issues to help you get your database back up and running quickly in the event of a problem. Safeguard also includes centralized scheduling capabilities eliminating the need to learn multiple operating system scheduling tools across servers as is required when creating backup solutions with in-house scripts. Safeguard gives Oracle DBA’s and technical managers peace of mind knowing that backups are safe, secure and consistent across Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g.
Safeguard offers a range of features including:

• Easy testing of backups to standby servers
• Centralized scheduling of databases across servers, operating systems and geographical locations.
• All backups taken are usable outside of Safeguard in case of emergency
