Giunti Labs enters the Nordic learning markets

Having opened offices in North America, the UK and Germany, Giunti Labs has expanded its international presence still further by establishing an office in Lund, Sweden covering the Nordic countries.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 14, 2008 – Giunti Labs now has a market presence in Italy, Germany, Sweden, the UK and the USA. In addition, the company operates a number of collaborative ventures with companies in other countries and takes part in international research and development projects within the EU.

“Public organisations, higher education institutions and privately held companies around the world are implementing strategies for human capital development and learning content production,” commented Fabrizio Cardinali, CEO of Giunti Labs.

“Our learn eXact LCMS Suite is the world’s leading learning content management technology for multi-device output, with a global install base in major public and corporate organisations .

“Our international clients include AstraZeneca, Scania, and Ericsson. Localising such worldwide experiences with key partners continues to be our main target over the next few months.”

“The economies of all the Nordic countries – Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland - have been experiencing stable and continuous growth for some time,” explained Ola Badersten, Managing Director of Giunti Labs Scandinavia.

“Consequently, organisations there are increasingly willing to invest in their human capital development in order to better compete in the global marketplace. During the past few years the market has reached a maturity, and, consequently, there is a strong demand for enterprise learning solutions.

“This includes the use of learning content management platforms; the rapid development of customised content, and ‘state of the art’ distribution of that content to any kind of delivery channel, such as PCs, laptops and mobile devices as well as printable versions of the content in ‘pdf’ format and Word documents.

“Products and services provided by Giunti Labs support the single source concept of one central knowledge repository for developing, maintaining, managing and delivering content to employees and customers,” he added. “That single source is adapted to learners’ personal profiles and to the local technical infrastructure - incurring fewer costs yet providing higher value.”

About Giunti Labs

Giunti is unique in the international publishing industry.

In 1497, Giunti publishers and typographers in Florence, together with others in Venice, began modern book manufacturing. Over the years Giunti has built a ‘historical catalogue’ of huge dimensions, through a gradual process of ‘fusion’ of different publishers, but also through the creation of new brands, including Giunti Labs. Giunti Editore now includes 20 companies in the publishing sector.

Giunti Labs, which has its global headquarters in Italy and offices in London (UK), Frankfurt (Germany), Lund (Sweden) and in Boston (US), provides a wide range of services, in response to any content, learning and knowledge management need, covering:
•   Technological solutions for content, learning & knowledge management
•   Architectural and technological solutions for mobile & wireless
•   Consulting and training
•   Content production
•   Research and development

Giunti Labs provides the learn eXact® suite, Europe's leading e-learning and mobile learning content management technology. This suite is interoperable with all major vendor-driven and open source LMS and VLE solutions in the market including Plateau, Oracle, SumTotal, Saba, WebCT, Blackboard, Sakai, LRN and Moodle.

Moreover, Giunti Labs does not just adhere to the international standards relating to the LMS/LCMS world, it is one of the organisations that helps to determine and drive these standards: co-writing and developing them. Giunti Labs plays a key role in most of the international institutions for the definition of eLearning specifications (IEEE LTSC, ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36, CEN/ISSS WSLT, AICC, IMS, ADL-SCORM and OKI).
