Football National Kicking Combine, March 30th, 2008

Feb. 13, 2008 - PRLog -- JANUARY 25th, 2008 – SAN DIEGO, CA - Former Minnesota Vikings kicker and the second leading scorer in Boston College football history and current San Diego Shockwave kicker (NIFL) John Matich, announced today that The Kicking System will open their National Kicking Combine on March 30th at Mira Mesa HS in San Diego. Matich and his professional staff of football coaches will host the one-day Kicking Combine and San Diego Kicking Competition.

The TKS kicking combine in partnership with TheSportsTV.com is ideal for both recruiting and training purposes and is a great opportunity for kickers looking to get to the next level.  This year we have partnered with TheSportsTV.com to ensure we film every kick!

Regardless of your age or year in school, this combine can help you on all levels, with the video aspect you can critique your own technique, distribute your DVD to college coaches and get combine performance stats.  

Southern California has always been a hotbed for recruiting kicking talent, but this year’s list of participating players in San Diego includes kickers from all across the country.  

The 2008  camp in San Diego will be headlined by several local standouts that include: David Seawright (Rancho Bernardo HS) – San Diego Country All-CIF Kicker of the Year, (Committed to CAL -- Offers from Air Force, Princeton, Harvard); Trevor Whiddon (RBV HS) – 2nd Team All-North County; Lee Abelkop – CA State finalist for Kicker of the Year; and Kicker Travis Golia (La Jolla Country Day) – currently committed to Stanford University
