PR Log (Press Release)Feb 12, 2008 – Any Question Answered Text Service Launched across New Zealand on all Networks
SYDNEY, Australia 10 Feb 2008

199QUERY Pty Ltd ( http://199query.com ), the company behind the successful question answer service in Australia, 199QUERY, announces that its question answer service is now available on all major phone networks in New Zealand, reaching a potential audience of 3.8million people, under the name AQA ( http://aqa.co.nz ). AQA, which stands for Any Question Answered, is a text message (sms) question and answer service where any question will be answered by texting it to AQA (272).

Since the service started in Australia in April 2006 mobile phone users across Australia have be inundating AQA with practical, impractical and genuinely bizarre questions looking for facts and fun - over 50,000 times. New Zealand can now join Australia to get answers from AQA by texting their questions to 272.

With Cricket in full swing and Rugby just around the corner, the AQA service has been helping people stuck in pubs with all those important questions... "Who's going to be in the final?", "Is England's rubber bat fair game?" or even "Whose round is it next?"

The first question sent to AQA in New Zealand was "How far is it from New Zealand to Australia"; the first Australian question asked was "Where is a good place to eat in Newcastle".

Examples of questions received from New Zealand over the last few days include:

Q. Whats the most common eaten fast food in New Zealand?
A. Fish and Chips is the most popular fast food in NZ with 60% of the population eating it at least once a year. Next is McDonalds (35%) and KFC (30%).

Q. How long is it from Te Hana to Hamilton?
A. Te Hana to Hamilton is 214 km by road which will take you about 3 hours in good traffic.

Q. When is helen clark going to kark it?
A. AQA knows Helen Clark is currently 58 years old and as the average life expectancy in New Zealand for females is 77, she's got another 19 years left!

Q. What is the average foot size of an adult?
A. The average shoe size for males has gone up! It's a size 9 For females its 7.5 to 8- Models have even bigger feet with theirs averaging out at a size 9 too!

Anyone with a mobile phone can ask AQA a question - any time of the day or night - by simply texting the question to 272. It costs NZD$2.50 per question sent. The answer will be delivered within minutes in a single text message.
