rfXcel, a leading provider of ePedigree Management solutions, today announced that Thomas J. Pizzuto has joined the company as Vice President of Client Services. In this newly created position, Tom will be responsible for managing the company’s consulting and professional services practice.
Tom is a veteran in the Pharmaceutical Industry, joining the company from Wyeth
Pharmaceuticals where he was Director, RFID Technology and Strategies. While at Wyeth for 9 years, he was a key contributor and strategist in the creation and ongoing management of Wyeth’s RFID Program Office promoting patient safety, channel security and regulatory compliance by accurately tracking the movement of finished pharmaceutical products through all phases of supply chain management. Tom has served on a variety of industry groups: Tri-chair of the Item Level Tagging Joint Requirements Group for EPCglobal; Steering Committee member of EPC Global Health Care Life Sciences Business Action Group; Steering Committee Chairman of HDMA “ RX Safe Track”; and Technology Team Lead, Secure Supply Chain, for PhRMA. Tom will remain active in the standards development process, representing rfXcel interests at GS1 Healthcare. Prior to Wyeth, Tom held management positions at several companies, including General Electric and Andersen Consulting.
