Bisphenol-A (BPA) is a hormone-disrupting chemical considered to be potentially harmful to human health and the environment.  This chemical is used in almost every baby bottle, sippy cup, and formula can sold in America.  

BPA exposure has been linked by scientists to cancers, impaired immune function, early onset of puberty, obesity, diabetes and hyperactivity.  Yet, it is used in the majority of hard plastic baby toys, cups, and bottles and in formula and food can liners.

How prevalent is this chemical?  According to the US Center for Disease Control, Bisphenol-A was detected in 92.6% of the urine samples of Americans ages 6-85.
