Wingstop Opens Third Antelope Valley Location

Nation’s leading chicken-wing chain continues California expansion

Feb. 8, 2008 - PRLog -- PALMDALE, Calif. – Wingstop, a fast-growing, chicken wing franchise known for cooked-to-order wings, continued its California expansion with the recent opening of its new west Palmdale location.

Steve Tucker of GIMJ Investment Group III, LLC opened the new Wingstop at 40008 10th Street West, #104. The store is open from 11 a.m. to midnight daily.  To contact the new Wingstop or to place take out orders, call 661-267-9999. This is the third of four stores that Tucker has planned for Antelope Valley.

“This one is in a great location just up the street from Antelope Valley Mall and the movie theaters,” said Tucker. “So we hope everyone gets by to see us before or after their shopping or movie.”

Tucker’s first store is now almost three years old and is located in east Palmdale at 2551 E. Ave. S (661-266-9464). His second is in east Lancaster at 1838 E. Ave. J (661-949-7600). The fourth Antelope Valley location will open in 2009 in either West Lancaster, Rosamond, or LittleRock.

Wingstop’s signature bone-in chicken wings and boneless wing strips are prepared fresh and are available in nine proprietary flavors.  Both types of wings are made-to-order and there are no heat lamps, microwaves or holding bins in the store.  Side dishes are made from scratch and prepared daily in each location.  Party platters are available for catered events such as office parties, family gatherings and sporting events.

“We’re very happy to be open and serving the Antelope Valley community,” said Tucker.  “We have the best chicken wings in town!! Come on in!”

About Wingstop:
Wingstop offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings.  The chain now serves boneless wing strips that are made from 100 percent all-white meat chicken breast coated with a proprietary batter and breading.  Wingstop features nine wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are always made-to-order and served steaming hot. Customers can also choose from homemade side dishes including fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, pearl potato salad, creamy cole slaw, vegetable sticks, rolls and assorted dipping sauces.

Wingstop has more than 600 restaurants either open or under development in 28 states and consistently tops industry growth rankings. Wingstop is 125th on Entrepreneur’s 2008 Franchise 500 list and was chosen Wing King at the 2006 National Buffalo Wing Festival, Favorite Restaurant at the 2005 festival and their Cajun sauce took first place honors for the Best Creative Spicy Sauce in the festival’s blind taste test.  In July 2005, Wingstop ranked No. 13 in Restaurant Business’ Top 50 Growth Chains (ranked by percentage increase in units) and was ranked the No. 1 chicken wing chain by Entrepreneur magazine in 2005.  Troy Aikman, three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame quarterback, has served as the chain’s national spokesman since 2003. Aikman extended his contract in 2006 for three years, as Wingstop has posted 18 consecutive quarters of comp store sales increases since the partnership.
