Carlos Albizu University has appointed Mr. Stan Johnson as a full-time faculty member in the Business Administration Department. Professor Johnson’s academic research is in the area of strategic planning and organizational development. His specific area of interest is organizational climate using appreciative inquiry for interventions.
Stan Johnson received his Bachelors Degree at Illinois State University and his Masters of Public Administration (MPA) at the University of North Florida. He has completed his Doctoral Degree coursework at Nova Southeastern University. His academic investigation and scholarly works at the doctoral level are in both Business Administration and Higher Educational Leadership.
Professor Johnson was the first director and founder of both the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs at CAU. Stan’s career includes administrative positions serving as Department Chair, Dean and Campus Director at the Miami Campus of Jones College, Southern Technical College at Las Vegas, and Institute for Legal Studies in New Orleans. Professor Johnson has served as faculty member at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, Polytechnic University and the University of North Florida.
Stan and his wife Carmen have two grown children. They both are active in community service and voluntarism. He is an active community member in the City of Doral, where Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez appointed him to serve as vice-chair of the city’s transportation committee and guide in the establishment of the city’s charter. Stan’s extensive knowledge and experience will be a great asset to accomplishing the University’s Mission.
