Send and receive T.38 Faxes with Zoiper IAX and SIP softphone

Attractel today released the newest 2.14 version of Zoiper IAX and SIP softphone for Windows. Zoiper now supports full T.38 Fax functionalities, using SIP. Zoiper's faxing capabilities are based upon Attractel's Faxterisk solution that turns Asterisk-based PBXs into T.38-capable systems.

Besides faxing, Zoiper now features a SIP Authentication Username field in the GUI and supports the following new languages: Portuguese and Russian. Also, most known issues have been fixed. Zoiper users for Windows are recommended to upgrade to the new 2.14 version.

Also today, Attractel released two new versions of Zoiper: 2.02 for Mac OS X and 2.02 for Linux. The new versions include various important additions, and some fixes. Now Mac OS X and Linux users will be able to receive T.38 faxes using SIP with Zoiper.

Apart from faxing, the latest Zoiper additions include: DTMF styles (RFC-2833 and SIP INFO) for SIP, remote transfer requests option, strip dial characters option, DSCP support, Portuguese and Russian language support and more!

Zoiper is a multi-platform IAX and SIP softphone, compatible with Asterisk or any SIP-based IP-PBX. It is available in Free and Biz editions.
