K & M of Virginia, Inc. is pleased to announce today that its flagship product, the Painter’s Pyramid®, received design protection in Europe with its designation as a Registered Community Design (RCD).
RCDs protect a design which is defined as “the appearance of the whole or a part of a product resulting from the features of, in particular, the lines, contours, colors, shape, texture and/or materials of the product itself and/or its ornamentation.”
The Painter’s Pyramid® provides stable pinpoint support so painters can coat both sides of an object without waiting for the paint to dry. The versatility of Painter’s Pyramid® enables homeowners, craftsmen, artists and hobbyists to save time and effort.

The EC has a total population of over 440 million and currently consists of 25 member states. The RCD provides advantages such as Europe-wide protection, a monopoly right and protection for up to 25 years from filing.
